Installing and trouble shooting
The purposal of this software is to support students in getting started with the topic of artifial lighting in architecture and room design.
The Hilite Studentversion is not a production enviroment.
Requirements and Limitations
- Hililte runs on the latest Windows operating system.
It will not run in a virtual machine. - It requires a dedicated GPU (nvidia/amd/intel).
An internal GPU like on Intel or AMD CPUs uses shared GPU RAM and will not work. - At least 2GB of GPU RAM is required.
- The Hilite Studentversion is time limited and stops working at the ends of the summer semester.
- A new version with bugfixes and new features will be available at the begin of the autumn semester.
- In case this project will be stopped, a final Version without a timelimit will be provided.
Install Hilite
Hilite comes with an installer and will install itself and the required .NET framework on the windows system.
The .NET framework is most likely installed on your system and will not be overwritten if the existing .NET framework is newer.
Hilite will be installed as a portable version, but we strongly recommend to use the installer in case you have to install hilite on a new or different system.
